Whitby Neighbourhood Policing Team, in collaboration with the Yorkshire Banking Society, are doing  fraud awareness pop-ups. Look out for future ones at the Whitby YBS branch! We talk everything fraud, scams and financial safeguarding, and share tips and tricks to stay safe financially.

For example, did you know you can sign-up to the UK Telephone Preference Service to limit the amount of marketing calls on landline numbers? Persistent telephone-marketing calls can wear us out, making us less astute about dangerous scam calls when they arise as they may sound like legitimate marketing calls at first.
